I just moved from Katonah in Westchester County NY to the central Connecticut town of Avon and resembling my library of books I thought I might take a look at what I have assembled over the years and write a little bit about some of my favorite books on Kitchen Design & Remodeling.
While ever developing technology and contemporary design trends will always play a part in kitchen design there are both classic designs and rules of thinking, rules of thumb that will always apply so the best books on the subject don’t necessarily grow old and dated.
Real Life Kitchens
by Lynn Peterson
This is perhaps my favorite book on Kitchen Remodeling & Design not just because it presents some great design ideas but because it is also about the process, how you need to think about the robust and detailed process of planning a kitchen remodeling project and working with your design and contracting professionals

Another older book now first published in 1998 so a little bit hard to find on the shelves but still a good reference.
I am very interested in ‘The Kitchen Consultant’for kitchen design ideas.
That book looks like it deals with problem kitchen areas. I do need some help there!
